Quality Education

''The main purpose of education is to teach one to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.''                       - Martin Luther King Jr.

As early as the 1950s, the school had umpteen firsts to its credit. It had a movie - projectors and other electronic aids to enhance learning that was procured from Agfa (Germany). The school started an M I Room on the school premises under the care of Dr. C.B. Khanna.

Taking a step ahead to ensure the overall development of its students, the school further experimented with several new techniques in the early 60s and also introduced allied arts like embroidery, handicrafts, clay-modeling, and other such activities.

The Education Minister Lala Jagat Narayan, who visited the school ion December 28, 1953, spoke highly of the school. Even the Department of Education was impressed by the keenness of the management and the staff.

With stupendous efforts of Mr. Dass and his team of dedicated teachers, the school got affiliated to Punjab University and created a name for itself through the brilliant results during the matriculation board examinations.

Several tie-ups were initiated under the guidance of Mr. Anirudh Gupta, present CEO,  with a purpose to give a facelift not only to infrastructure but academics too. Multiple Teachers Training programs related to the enhancement of IT skills and the introduction of innovative teaching pedagogies were undertaken. Mr. Gupta introduced modern practices, professionalism and added a new dimension to education. His efforts bore fruits in the form of the school receiving the National Award for Excellence in Education in the year 1999.

It was in the year 2010 that the school shifted from state board to CBSE keeping in view the demand of the parents.
